Ayahuasca saved my life when I was both physically and spiritually dying.

Here I'll share the wisdom and direct teachings that flow through from Ayahuasca, my guides, and the deep medicine that has transformed countless lives — including my own.

Welcome to Words With Wakana.

Ayahuasca teaches that everything is woven through connection, and in the magic that flows from it.

This space extends that truth beyond ceremony. Within these pages, you’ll find channeled learnings and resources to help you deepen your connection with the medicine. They are offered to illuminate essential pathways for healing and shamanic practice, and to help support you in living with greater presence and awareness in daily life — each step guiding your walk home to your authentic self.

I Am Wakana, White Owl Medicine Woman.

I am an Ayahuasquera and integrative indigenous shaman, bridging the timeless wisdom of the ancestors with the insights of modern therapeutic practice and scientific insight.

I have given my life in service to this medicine, helping others find the same opportunity to heal and grow that I have been given—and continue to receive. My story is unique, yet it joins a planet-wide chorus of lives touched, transformed, and saved by this medicine.

My Story

This space welcomes exploration at every level—helping you discern if the medicine calls to you, prepare and engage with it, integrate your experiences, and cultivate right relationship with both the medicine and the communities that hold her wisdom.

5 Biggest Fears of Ayahuasca

Psychonaut POV With Tricycle Day

In this Psychonaut POV interview with Tricycle Day’s Henry Winslow, you’ll find an intimate conversation about awakening, healing, and the living intelligence of plants — and about what happens when we stop running from fear and begin listening to it. It’s a story that invites you to look beyond the idea of medicine as something we take, and instead as something we enter into relationship with.

Through reflections on childhood connection, near-death transformation, and decades of ceremonial practice with Ayahuasca, I share what it means to walk as a medicine woman — not as a title, but as a continual becoming. Whether you’re curious about Ayahuasca, intergenerational healing, or simply what it means to live in reciprocity with the natural world, this dialogue offers insight, honesty, and hope for anyone called to meet themselves — and their fear — with reverence.

Taking Our Power Back From Fear

Fear shows up in countless forms—fear of failure, loss, change, success. We even fear fear itself. While fright is a natural response that protects us in real-time danger, fear lives in the imagined future, draining our energy and disconnecting us from the present moment where our true power lies.

By learning to meet fear consciously, we can transform it from a paralyzing force into a teacher; a force we can use for the betterment of our lives right now and ongoing. Fear reveals what matters most to us, inviting immediate, grounded action that restores connection and empowerment. When we thank fear for its message and act in alignment with what we value, we reclaim our strength and return to the only place we ever have power—the present.

Emotional Triggers | Your Guides & Faithful Friends

Emotional triggers are not enemies to be feared, but faithful guides pointing us toward what is still unresolved within. Each trigger carries a hidden invitation: to bring loving awareness to old energies that are asking to be seen, released, and transformed. Instead of resisting them, we can meet our triggers with compassion, knowing they reveal the very steps that lead us closer to freedom.

In this short video, I share how triggers can become allies on the path of healing — not obstacles. For a deeper exploration, I’ve written a full post on how to work with triggers in daily life.
